Dura Guard is a high-performance protective coating designed to provide corrosion, abrasion, chemical, impact, UV and moisture resistance across a wide range of industrial applications.

Its advanced Dot Matrix Coating Technology provides strong adhesion to diverse substrates including metal, concrete, wood, PVC, glass, stone and ceramics.

Dura Guard also incorporates a unique cold-welding property, enabling strong bonding between dissimilar materials—making it a versatile solution for both surface protection and joining applications.

TECHNOLOGY

Advanced Dot Matrix Coating Technology

Dura Guard is formulated using a combination of organic and inorganic materials, including ironite ceramic, active ceramic, cement, water-miscible modified epoxy resin and a specially formulated hardener.

The Dot Matrix Technology creates strong mechanical and chemical adhesion with the substrate, allowing the coating to protect complex surfaces and withstand demanding industrial environments.

The technology provides a combination of: Corrosion Protection + Abrasion Resistance + Strong Adhesion + Chemical Resistance + Impact Protection + Cold Welding.

The unique cold-welding property enables Dura Guard to bond dissimilar materials such as metal-to-concrete, metal-to-wood, stone-to-concrete, ceramic-to-metal and other difficult substrate combinations.

CLEANING AND SURFACE PREPARATION

Proper surface preparation is essential for achieving maximum performance.

Recommended preparation:

Clean: Remove dirt, grease, oil, loose particles and other surface contaminants.
Remove loose corrosion / scale: Eliminate loose rust, scale, old coating or weak material from the application area.
Prepare the surface: Ensure the substrate is sound, clean and sufficiently roughened to promote adhesion.
Ensure dryness: Where applicable, ensure the surface is free from standing water and excessive moisture before application.
Check the surface profile: For metallic surfaces, surface burrs/projections should be controlled to less than 25 microns, as specified for the application.

The better the surface preparation, the better the adhesion, protection and service life.
